I will try to catch up a little. Cayla is doing great, looks and acts just like any other two year old. Two weeks before her second birthday she started throwing full fledged temper tantrums just as a two year old should. Not to brag but people tell me all the time that she has beautiful eyes. This past weekend I said thank you, she had skull surgery at 5 1/2 months...her eyes are so special to me because of that. I can remember Melissa and I holding her up to the mirror and seeing her "harliquen" eyes...one smaller and less round than the other. That and her uncrooked nose say so much about why she had the surgery.

Cayla is brave to a fault...a real daredevil. We were at academy not too long ago and Zane said mom Cayla is on top of the ladder...the ladder being a 10 ft tall thing that she was really at the top of. Talk about scary. Tonight she fell between the handle of our shopping cart and the cart...wouldn't stay buckled for nothing. I just keep waiting for the day she gets a concussion and when they do the cat scan seeing all those funny cracks....oh boy.

She is a SHOE fanatic. She takes hers off and wears everyone elses. One day she lost one of her shoes at daycare and I told her the next morning that she was just going to have to go barefoot...she cried..shoe, shoe, shoe...SHOE, found tennis shoes and proceeded to put them on without socks. The next time she lost her shoe I made her go barefoot and called her shoeless joe. She currently has on one red flip flop and one purple flip flop..mine not hers. At least she can put her shoes on by herself most of the time.

She has an above average vocabulary. Says a lot of words and is making sentences. Yesterday Zane stepped on her toe and she said to me...Zane (nane) blubleaua which meant zane stepped on my toe. Tonight he pushed her and she came crying to me, I said did Zane push you and she said Nane push me..no no nane. But when she falls at daycare she cries for NANE...like he will rescue her. Don't know how she will take it when he goes to school in the fall.

Okay better run...gotta give her a breathing treatment--yep she has the beginning stages of asthma so we do breathing treatments twice a day.

Shoeless Joe now has on a pair of high heeled blue flip flops but on the wrong feet...boy am I in for it when she gets older.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-69680843568093402982007-12-04T19:06:00.000-08:002007-12-04T19:15:16.860-08:0020 months oldI just realized Cayla is 20 months old. Nearly 2...oh my gosh where has the time gone. Tonight we went to Feast of Sharing a meal provided by a local grocery store for the community. The meal was good and it was free. Zane and Cayla both liked the ham best... I liked the mashed potatoes and bread (maybe that is why I am fat and they are skinny). After the meal we went to the children's area where the kids colored a Christmas card for a soldier, and made reindeer out of the kids foot and hand prints. I am going to try to make another one at home for John. I usually just give him the cool stuff...but this one I want to keep.

After the reindeer making, we stood in line and stood in line and stood in line to see Santa. Zane got his face painted while Grampy and Cayla stood in line. Then we all stood together again. When we finally got to Santa, Zane went right to him and sat down, but Cayla cried. I put her in his lap and she waved her hands around and cried. So that was one picture...then Zane did one alone, then we did one more with her screaming in Santa's lap and finally one of Cayla standing by Santa still crying but not as much. I guess it is good that she is afraid of strangers but it was funny because she usually flirts with every man we see...maybe she prefers clean shaven men.

I am going to move the kids around after the new year. It looks like Amanda will be staying in Arkansas so I will put one kid in her room and leave the other one in the currently shared room. I think I am putting Zane in the front room and keeping Cayla where she is, but all this may change. I haven't converted her bed yet, so I better try that first. I think I will do that over Christmas break.

More later along with pics.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-91872002062481099282007-11-28T19:37:00.000-08:002007-11-28T19:46:20.526-08:00Just call me bad mommyOkay, I am the world's worst blogger. I started out gung ho and now rarely post, yet I love to read other people's blogs...hmmm maybe I just like to snoop. Anyway it has been way too long since my last post here. I sincerly apologize.

Cayla is now 21 lbs and growing like a weed. Unfortunately, she has been sick with sinus stuff for two months now. We are on our 3rd antibiotic. At least she is good about taking the medicine.

She is happy most of the time, but when she gets mad watch out. She got mad at her big brother this week and sat in the floor and kicked him..hard!! Then the next morning she walked over to him and hit him for no reason. Zane said, "Cayla is going on the naughty list." Too funny.

Cayla is talking a little more. Mostly jibberish, but she can say momma finally. She says dadda a lot. She can also say hi, bye, dog, Zane, Judy and ball. Her favorite word to say and least favorite to hear is NO. We were in the car recently and her first "sentence" was uttered out of the blue. She said, "NOOOOOO Zane." It was funny, I was laughing so hard I was about to cry....the she said NOO Cayla. That was the last time I have heard her say Cayla. If you ask where is Cayla she pats her tummy.

She is in love with her daddy. He moved back to town and has been spending more time with the kids. Cayla will barely let Zane near John. And when he is around she forgets anyone else exists. It is cute and he eats it up....but she could show me a little love.

Well, Melissa took some pics at Thanksgiving. I will try to get her to post.

In the meantime, you better not pout, you better not cry, I'm telling you why, Santa Claus is coming to town. Don't be like Cayla and get on the naughty list.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-17336705891365525492007-08-08T19:50:00.000-07:002007-08-08T19:56:51.877-07:00Whoa--time has flownHas it really been a month since I posted. I can't believe it. Cayla is now 16 months old. She is showing more and more character each day. Just the other night she went to our back door--which is a french door set. The dog was on one side and Cayla on the other. Reba (the puppy) would bark or lick the door and Cayla would laugh and jump around and hit the door and babble. Then she would fall over. She played like that for a good half an hour. It was funny.

Last night we had dinner with Cayla's best friend Aubrey. The two girls didn't interact too much while we were eating but as we were leaving Aubrey touched Cayla's arm and Cayla leaned over to her. They were giving each other baby hugs and kisses. So swseet to see the babies loving on one another. It made up for Cayla's big brother being a real pain while we were eating. Cayla and Aubrey have been friends since before they were born. It is so much fun to see them grow together. I hope they can keep that friendship up through the years.

Still no real words but Cayla knows how to point. She points and walks, leading with that finger. Very funny.

I will try to be better about posting. But for now, I will quote from one of my favorite songs--Bowling For Soup's 1985...."She hates time, make it stop!!"Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-55487568164233108042007-07-06T07:04:00.001-07:002007-07-06T07:11:01.844-07:0015 Month Pics!<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_Fh9ne3kFJ8UJAaknGCXt2Wugi6AgibbdkGplwKp-ai2_16sHmD4Ou4j6L7u-VCkWxi-RPnto5ktP-7rpobez3HNkbWmT09qI2RdhBEVfnPpcg4PcT9iU4CoiZjAch2izyt3S/s200/cayla3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5084085805717441538" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiELyfDBO0Z-XZfA09Mv8o_1PB-jfR_dIBe9EvEYTZB-Vb6RA6rjTgdYPh3wrdZ6TZqk9PmGabcR4Ys1QURf7Qnz4vRm7H_hvPjHDP88kqerdY4hqFCgKW3kKt2iG_E9fdYmnbR/s200/cayla4.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5084085556609338354" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvpHq7lkWTvhz1dxbcWeWzMnLdJO_sz3FNhf7s1O-NOZRMNmNBzOPexeR_C51eRtaZCWCGkYf4j3xQXqeHHNnMTVEEND0Gbqf_vLu-sCVqtA4b3oaj6av8dCxotDRKD86Ja7N-/s200/cayla5.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5084085324681104354" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1mLGXClQtoNQZX6XFvyXUwARXRDLWk3ByYC6C3a4EZZaxMY1ZhqwgcjYqUiT8NR_Lc7a2EYY5ZftclS72nC2FwszHUHBkt2T1OH2bquLCL88C32DmI6QUYf2h6Hn3yClgRL4l/s200/caylabw.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5084085109932739538" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg055pkhOa_tLHRijb5kE_sylY78gqQXXCE43r8Pe4uP854MpxfrqnXThopiatqLUjF_-kT6-w8oYzstNK0WAdTKL3ULN6Ql2CUJd6dShSyH8hVtD0_vLSwWZ47eh96HXCChsnv/s200/cayla1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5084084878004505538" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgB049hpj756y3nJdPATTrsxjiBX9WnMXLYTkGnd-pcNAtBQSjCjFiETmEkxqQiTnWEqxWMbStGy9PNLynfoBqJbKHhTM2Qyr6W3OojO494iQZnCHX6BVG__soqF9rVlAyJp-O/s200/cayla2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5084084620306467762" />
Cayla is so patriotic she had 2 July 4th outfits!Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-70382194875725380092007-07-01T18:26:00.000-07:002007-07-01T18:35:45.031-07:00RunningI know I don't post here enough. I am sorry about that. I guess time just gets away from me.

Cayla will be 15 months old on Wed. She doesn't walk she runs. I want her to slow down--but she has her own plan. I still want her to be a baby, but she can't stay that way forever. It reminds me of how God must feel about us. We run through life, never slowing, just rushing through. He wants us to slow down and savor the life He has given. He wants us to see His plan and live for Him. Unlike Cayla, we will always be God's babies--the children He loves. Maybe it isn't Cayla who shouldn't run, it is me.

Cayla has her funny little ways. She will be headed toward something she knows she can't have and will shake her head no the whole way there--but does it anyway. She has started to give things back to me, if I ask. I am thankful for that. Before now she would just cry when you took her prizes away. She has a dimple in one cheek that just glows when she grins.

She is a princess still and I guess always will be.

She doesn't speak and that concerns me. Occasionally she will say hi and dada. Once in a while she mamamamama's. But there are no real words yet. I am praying that she will speak clearly soon. And then it will be like it was when she was learning to walk--she ran, and so she will probably never be quiet--and I will wish for the days that she didn't talk.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-65890422827953603392007-06-15T09:58:00.001-07:002007-06-15T10:03:22.043-07:0014 Month Pics!<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqm2B3tbI5rLe99P89oPxlmrraDrR_CNC-O2SET8zWTv5JA0542YStIQB7-EePP-K0Al08_g5ONjQXJ-X4Fm-gdLV9YZeZi2zGY__h-psF660RG0YQLHmH1DIl_5z0eZ2EvAHT/s200/caylazane.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5076337660957899890" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaj50gvjFJn9O9zQ0ywnzDQJyyKQez-igJbnU1peuCjUC-e29yd1Ka3XifTapUE4lRsq_qlbdXz6Ilg_mTJoaVZS8SSVhKcUyUaEtMr81Wt89oT2lUyWg17xkHOF6XQYi0JKnd/s200/cayla5.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5076337600828357730" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBMOjn9TabrMLxjPSmLTigfjOw570QwPWcJsLnmPOsom5ZAJ20qBUB0E8z_ZfywRre96xm3bOAirG1SdWFvv002Q9GAAiSHYYfNe_yDpIq0bKCBwHQpsTE_sZDekqWj-Hb7y9O/s200/cayla4.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5076337523518946386" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnNE2aUpditjCcEdKD7sa_HFTrCn86nZiC0zTKCeNHNtNi6oIyUTG3kcil052Eijh1u1hbGaj3kEsUuCDvdJbQwh-dnhdtf9oOFIW_TB_H-p4YHaGLXMRmUW-ZanXQaeyd-J_n/s200/cayla3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5076337459094436930" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwo6OSfnKRvT0CWka9gjM4XNdMTBhbNDRawGoSUFkvXACWy5waET6XBnF94i75es8-0J2gpcaZkKrKo-RO_uM5oJakHgry1H35IoZfbuvmzx-lRSitM1tTvE3x2qrLuBGE4Ba3/s200/cayla2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5076337377490058290" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzfoaJb4RdahZosI6RKjmRET1KS-eSEvLC9AYQo9O99cpFhnA347iI63swDxNs5LeDnsUeZw0g3MCYBIBN35jiW5fqbdItffJpGw-xAivb8TxgTisRAaSWuoH4Rd7eBwMXfCI-/s200/cayla1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5076336978058099746" />
Here are the 14 month pics. She is walking everywhere. Took her first real steps on Mother's day. That week and the next she worked her way up to more and more steps and the next thing I knew...she was really walking. She is a climber. Have to really watch her. She climbed a step stool and fell off, then this weekend she tried to climb again and got her leg stuck. Huge bruise there.

She has more teeth, including a back molar. So now she has 7 teeth. She is still stubborn and wants things her own way. She throws huge fits if she doesn't get her way. Don't even think about taking a toy (or anything else she has in her hand) away. She will let you know right away that she is mad. Can't imagine where she gets that temper from.

Sissa is coming to take pictures this week, so look for them to be posted soon. As with my other blog, I will try harder to post more often.

God Bless You All.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-43872343758205917252007-05-08T20:50:00.000-07:002007-05-08T20:57:35.523-07:0013 Month Pics!

Here are pics from Cayla's 13th month. She celebrated her birthday on April 5 with a Princess Party. It was a ton of fun. She had 20 kids and 17 adults as guests!! The little princess wore the perfect shirt for the party--given to her by her adopted Nana--(Nina--Melissa's Mom). It said I didn't ask to be a princess but if the crown fits... Very fun. She loved the gifts and did well openining presents. Cayla's dad was here for the party, and that was special. He is really starting to come around to the idea of being civil for the sake of the kids.

Sissa will post pics soon. But in the meantime here are her vital stats:
17 lbs 8 oz
27 3/4 in long
I didn 't get the head measurement, but the doctor said her head is small and he will watch it, but it is consistent with her other measurements. I do know it is on the chart now, unlike in the negatives like it was for so long.

Cayla is not walking yet, but manages to get into everything anyway. She is very curious. I think she is going to be the most inquisitive of all my children and the most mischevious. She doesn't like baby food anymore, wants to eat what we are eating. She is very stubborn and knows what she wants. But she is also very sweet and well behaved most of the time.

Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes and most of all the support throughout this year. You will never know how you have blessed us.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-1174965273899284002007-03-26T21:14:00.000-07:002007-03-26T21:14:33.966-07:00Latest UpdateFinally saw the doctor

Cayla had an appt in Lubbock on the 12th. I had to go to Arlington for training, so my dad, Melissa (Sissa), Amanda, Zane and Sissa's mom Nina all took Cayla to Lubbock. They got there only to be told that all the appts had been rescheduled for the next day. Well no one could be there the next day, so they rescheduled for the next Tuesday. They then got her into see the other doctor--the reconstruction guy. He said she looks great and he thought she would continue to heal nicely.

I got back from my trip late Monday night and Tuesday Nina and I took Cayla to Lubbock. We got there only to be told the doctor was out the entire week. The girl had messed up the scheduling. I was not happy. That meant we had basically wasted a trip to Lubbock. At least the first time she got to see the other doctor. I first said we would not be back and that he could come see her in Abilene.

I reconsidered and we took one more trip to Lubbock. This time I called ahead and found that the doctor was in. Nina and her friend Nancy, Zane and I all took Cayla to Lubbock. We got there a little early and saw the doctor right away. He apologized for the mix ups so that was nice. He then looked at Cayla and once again proclaimed her beautiful. He said the knot looks great. He then said you must have been praying about it. I said yes we had. He then said man I almost forgot what we first saw her for. She looks so good. Then he said see you in six months. And we got to go.

So after 3 trips we found that Cayla is great. We already knew that....but it was nice to hear it from him. She is cutting more teeth. Can climb the two steps from the play room and screams if she is alone. All in all a normal almost one year old princess.

I can't believe she will soon be one. The year has really flown. I especially can't believe that she is 6 months out from surgery. Wow how things have changed. We are so blessed. Thanks to everyone for the prayers. Cayla will have quite the story to tell when she is older. And a big part of that will be how much she was prayed for and how God blessed her.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-1173231034334480362007-03-06T17:22:00.000-08:002007-03-06T17:30:34.346-08:0011 Month Pics!

It is time again for monthly update pictures. Sorry about that. Zane had the flu and then Cayla has had double ear infections, so I haven't had much time to blog.

Cayla's top two teeth should make their appearanc soon. I know she will be glad of it. She is chewing everything in site and crawling everywhere. If there is the slightest, teeny tiniest spec of paper on the floor she can spot it and practically run to it. I can vacuum 3 times and she still finds something good to eat, at least she thinks so. She pulled up to a standing position the other day. So cute. Then she got scared and started crying, just not sure where to go from there.

She weighs 15 lbs 13 oz. Still a light weight comparitively. She has not yet doubled her birth weight, but the doctor is not concerned. She is 26 in. long which seems long, but is only 6 inches in 9 months. The big change is in her head circumference. It is 41 centimeters. Before the surgery it was like 32. I am well pleased with that.

Sissa didn't get a 9 month pic so to say, but did get some cute shots with Cayla and Sissa's sister Sybil. I will see if she can post one for us.

Hope this finds everyone well. Stay warm if you can. I am ready for winter to be over and it just barely started.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-1167525574129667812006-12-30T16:37:00.000-08:002006-12-30T16:39:34.130-08:00

Cayla on Christmas Morning, Santa came!!Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-1167525277260588512006-12-30T16:34:00.000-08:002006-12-30T16:34:37.323-08:00Baby's First ChristmasSanta thought I was a good girl

Santa visited mommy a little early this year when Cayla took her first crawling steps on Christmas eve. It is so sweet to see her growing and changing. She has developed quite a little personality. Very much a girl who knows what she wants and if she doesn't get it, will be more than happy to scream till she does.

John did not take Cayla for the pre Christmas weekend. He only had Zane. Then he balked at bringing him back so I was glad that he didn't have the baby too. He only saw her briefly. It was not a good day for mom. But Zane came back okay so I guess that it all turned out well.

Cayla loved opening presents. She really only wanted to eat the paper though. One day she had told Zane and I that she wanted "a dah" which we took to mean a doll. She got three. When Zane opened one of them, she clapped her hands. Very cute. She smiles all the time and is pretty easy going. She eats a lot. I think that more teeth are coming in. Boy I can't believe how much she is growing. Nearly nine months old!! Wow.

I am going to try to post a picture from Christmas morning. Melissa has been doing all the photo posting so I am hoping for the best.

Happy New Year to All!! May 2007 be the best year ever for all of you.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-1166501296595364902006-12-18T20:08:00.000-08:002006-12-18T20:08:16.613-08:00To Lubbock and BackOne more trip

Today I took Cayla back to Lubbock for her regularly scheduled post surgical appt. Sissa (Melissa), and Nina (Sissa's mom)went with us. It made the trip so much better to have someone along for the ride. Cayla got a little fussy so it was really great to have the entertainment with us.

We were able to see both doctors today. The first doc said she looks great and he thought the bump might be a little smaller. But he wanted us to see the other doctor too. 2nd Doc said he thinks that it will get better over time. He said the bump may be a part of the plate in there and that it will resorb. He also said that the temporal muscle can build back up. So he was pleased with her overall. We go back in March and will see both docs again. It will be nice not to make that trip so often.

We got to see Grandma Connie ( a really good friend) today too. She and her husband lived in Abilene for a while and really took us under their wings. It was great to see her. I think Sissa got a good snap and maybe we can get it posted.

So now I just have to get a tree up, and presents wrapped and wait for santa. I can't believe he will arrive in a week. Even bigger news is that Cayla's dad is back in Texas. He got transferred to San Angelo. So he plans to see the kids now. He is going to have them over the weekend and bring them back for Christmas morning. Santa will stop at my house.

Merry Christmas to all. May God give you peace, love, comfort and joy in the coming year and especially during the holiday season.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-1166328729220062362006-12-16T20:08:00.000-08:002006-12-16T20:12:09.233-08:00Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Pics of the teeth! See her two front bottom teeth? Now she can wish you Merry Christmas!Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-1165773267582855892006-12-10T09:54:00.000-08:002006-12-10T09:54:27.686-08:00All I want for Christmas is my two front teethWish Granted

Cayla is 8 months old and I can already tell she is going to be my active child. She is also quite the little "the world revolves around ME" child. But she must be pretty good because Santa visited her early.

She turned 8 months on this past Monday and then on Tuesday her first tooth magically appeared. Well after weeks of fussy chewing everything time, the tooth magically appeared. Then on Friday the second one popped up. It is a good thing she asked Santa for those teeth. Now I don't have to worry about shopping for her.

The teeth are so cute. Barely poking up from those bottom gums. Of course I can't get a photo of them. She covers them with her tongue every time I try to get a good look. I will just have to catch her unaware.

She is finally sitting up good. She still lists to the side a little, but is pretty straight most of the time. Her new trick is to get up on her hands and knees and then straighten her legs out so she is standing with her hands down, like she is playing bridge. Too funny. She gets frustrated because she can move her legs, but hasn't figured out how to get her hands out of the way. She sort of lurches forward.

Christmas is just around the corner and I bet she loves it. She already knows how to rip paper!! Then she eats it! All those tasty treats on the floor will dazzle her I bet.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-1165097024852593562006-12-02T13:59:00.000-08:002006-12-02T14:03:44.863-08:00Almost 8 months!

Here are the latest pics of Cayla from Thanksgiving. I was so grateful, because we only had one appt. I was afraid that I was going to have to make two trips, but they were able to squeeze us in at the second doctor.

Dr. Telefian still thinks Cayla is perfect. He was concerned about the spot and was glad we came. He really wanted Dr. Barrett to see the eye, because he did the work on it. So we went off to the other office.

Dr. Barrett said he is a little concerned, but is hopeful it will get better with growth. He couldn't tell if the spot is bone or the plate. The main concern is the indentation. If it doesn't grow out on its own, it will mean more surgery. For now we are just watching it.

Cayla goes back in December and I guess we will evaluate then. In the mean time her incision looks great, she has lost all the scab. Both doctors were pleased.

Today she almost took off crawling. She gets on her knees and pushes forward. Not a real crawl but a funny scoot. I was on the phone to John when she did it the first time. It made me sad all over again that he is missing so much of her life. He didn't seem phased. I guess he really has seperated from everything. Very sad. He is missing so much of Zane and Cayla and Amanda. At least he keeps in touch occasionally.

Thanks for continued prayers. I will update you all as changes happen.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-1162879944258445692006-11-06T22:12:00.000-08:002006-11-06T22:12:24.396-08:00A sudden trip to LubbockCayla;s eye

Cayla now has an indentation next to it. So we are making a quick trip to Lubbock. I am praying that the doc says I am crazy, but I am afraid the absorbable stuff, absorbed too soon.

We are in Lubbock tonight. Will do an update as soon as I can tomorrow.

Meanwhile be in prayer for Jenn and John, round about friends of mine (she is the sister of my water aerobics teacher). Their first child was still born last week. It breaks my heart. I cried so much when I found out. Just makes Cayla even more of a blessing.Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31368645.post-1162783461952367202006-11-05T19:17:00.000-08:002006-11-05T19:24:21.963-08:00Cayla's 7 Month Pictures!

Cayla's 7 month old pictures are here. Sorry there aren't more of them, but Sissa decided to take pictures of Cayla while she was bouncing in her Johnny-Jump-Up and most of the pictures are blurry. The one of her sleeping was snapped in the Mall a week before she turned 7 months. Enjoy!Beckyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14030441373199639122noreply@blogger.com0
